Eastern Desert
The core programme. Target generation across the Arabian-Nubian Shield is under way now, led by geologists who have worked at Sukari and Hamash, so that our applications are ready when the next licensing round opens.
Egypt awards gold exploration ground through competitive bid rounds run by the state’s mineral resource authorities. Tot Gold Mining is preparing for the next one — and the preparation is the programme.
Our geologists are building a prospectivity model of the Eastern Desert from three sources: satellite spectral analysis, the recorded locations of more than a hundred ancient workings, and their own field knowledge of the belt from years at Sukari and Hamash. The output is a ranked list of target areas, so that when blocks are offered we bid for the right ones rather than the available ones.
Applications over the highest-ranked ground in the next bid round; then reconnaissance mapping, surface sampling and, where warranted, trenching and drilling — reported to international standards from the first result.
Egyptian gold is developed through joint ventures with the state’s mineral resource entities. The company is structured for that framework, and its registered scope runs through processing, refining and bullion trade so that what is found can be developed rather than sold on.
